Baptist International Missions, Inc.

Mickey & Christine Schrimshire

In 1976 Christine and I responded to God's call in our lives to become missionaries and to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have endeavored to be faithful and obedient to that call as we have ministered in the United Kingdom for the past 30 years. We have seen so many blessings from our Lord and have witnessed souls saved and lives changed. We have seen churches planted and established, soul winning outreach ministries started, and national people trained and prepared to carry on these ministries. Also, we were instrumental in founding the North Staffordshire Christian Choir, and we taught in our Moorlands Bible Institute at Milton Baptist Church, founded by the national pastor, Brother David Moore. On our last furlough I discovered Amazing Grace Mission and their unique way of reaching people with the Gospel in markets and fairs. I took the concept back to England and started our own market ministry there. God gave us a team of men and women from our churches there that have learned market evangelism and are carrying on that soul winning ministry in England.

At this time the Lord is moving us to the next level in a newly established ministry of Baptist International Missions, Inc. We continue to desire to be faithful and obedient to God's calling. As always, we want only to be in the center of His will. We are excited to be part of the new ARM (Assistance and Relief Missionaries) outreach of BIMI. This is a door of opportunity that will expand our ministry to include the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Commonwealth countries. This ministry will involve using our years of experience to help on varied foreign fields in order to preserve, conserve, and grow new churches where the resident missionary must return to the States on a short-term furlough. It will also involve teaching, training, and mentoring national leaders in soul winning, church planting, and church growth. Through ARM personnel, BIMI is working to preserve and invest their most valuable assets, their experienced missionaries, and we are privileged to be a part of this new ministry.

Between foreign field assignments, I will be leading a soul winning ministry called Market Witness Ministries. Our theme verses are Acts 17:16-17 where Paul's spirit was stirred and he went into the local marketplace to reach men and women for Christ with the Gospel. Our hearts are stirred also, and we go to marketplaces in order to witness one-on-one and win people to Christ.

I use unusual concepts to engage people in spiritual conversations. God has already given much fruit in this ministry in the United States and in England. I will continue to teach and train others in this fruitful ministry wherever our field assignments take us. Through Market Witness Ministries, I want to be a practical blessing to you and your church. You can schedule me to be with you when there is an event near your church, such as a market day or town fair. I will also train your concerned people in market evangelism to assist me and, Lord willing, give you converts to follow up after our visit. Later, these helpers may even want to begin their own market ministry. While I am with you, I will be available to preach or teach on missions, soul winning, or Faith Promise mission giving.

We are asking for your prayers and support as we give our lives to reach souls, help establish new churches, and be a much needed blessing to younger missionaries through ARM ministries. My heart's desire is that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24 emphasis added). At a time convenient in your church schedule, I would like to come and share this next level of mission service. Please contact me if you have a special date in mind or an upcoming missions conference or if you have any questions.
