Peter Doolittle was born in 1967, to Robert and Marilyn Doolittle who were preparing to leave to Brazil as missionaries. Peter was the fifth child and was only 9 months old when they arrived on the field, and grew up on the field under his father’s ministry. At the age of ten he trusted Christ as his Savior and when he was thirteen, God gave him clear conviction as to his calling to be a missionary. In 1986, Peter came to the U.S. for Bible College and in October 1990, at the age of 22 and with very little financial support, he returned to Brazil to do the work to which God had called him. Peter has served as camp director at Estância Maranata (Camp Maranatha) in Brazil for 30 years. In 1993, God blessed Peter with his wonderful wife, Zirlene, who was saved as an adolescent at the Camp and has now been at his side running camps together for the past 27 years. They have two wonderful sons, Stanley (born 2001) and Kevin (2004), who have been a great help in the ministry. Besides camps, they have been used of God in church planting and their new ministry, the Guardians of the Faith Boys Ministry, training up the boys of today to be the men of tomorrow. The Lord has blessed the Doolittle's ministry in Brazil and they are excited to see what He has in store for them in the years to come!
