Wilman was born on August 19, 1995, to a Catholic family in Choluteca, Honduras. After his mother was saved, she began taking him to church. Because his father had passed away when he was only six years old, Wilman constantly wondered why he did not have a dad like other children. One day his Sunday school teacher presented God as a loving, compassionate Father. He told the teacher that he would like to have that kind of Father, and after she had shared the plan of salvation with him, Wilman received Christ as his Savior.

While studying at the Timothy Bible Institute of Honduras Missions under the direction of missionary Barry Ritchie, Wilman surrendered to a call into the ministry. He graduated in 2015 and later began helping a young, struggling church in Trapiche, a small village on the northern side of Choluteca. He was ordained in 2020.

Rachel was born on May 24, 1994. Growing up in a pastor's home, Rachel met many missionaries. She surrendered to missions at the age of 16 and began praying that the Lord would provide a way for her to take a missions trip to Honduras. She made her first trip to Honduras in 2015 and during that time the Lord opened her eyes to the spiritual needs of the children and young women there.

After returning home, Rachel enrolled at Patriot Bible Institute where she received her bachelor’s degree in Christian Elementary Education in 2018. Rachel left for the field as a BIMI missionary in 2020. After learning Spanish, she moved to Choluteca to begin teaching at Lighthouse Baptist School. It was there that Rachel and Wilman met.
