About Chris
We are the Reed family and God has called us to Thailand to reach the Thai people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was raised in a Christian home and at age 17, I trusted Jesus as my Savior. I was faithfully serving in my church as an usher and teaching a teen Bible study. At age 21 I was hired as a firefighter with the City of Las Vegas. I spent eight years as a firefighter before answering God’s call to full-time Christian service. My years as a firefighter were very rewarding; however, now the Lord has called my family to do the same thing on a spiritual level in Thailand. With the Holy Spirit and the power of the gospel, we want to rescue people from Hell, pull them from the power of sin, and help those that need the healing power of Jesus.

After surrendering to the call to preach, I enrolled at West Coast Baptist College. While still a student I began to serve on staff at Lancaster Baptist Church. During college, I met my wife while serving together on a bus route. After graduation we were married, and my wife and I served in different ministries at Lancaster Baptist Church. During our annual missions conference the Lord burdened my heart for missions. After prayer and counsel, I surrendered to God’s call on my life for the mission field. After spending a few days in Thailand, my heart broke for the millions of people that have never heard the gospel. We believe God wants us to go to Thailand and share His love and plan of salvation with the Thai people.

About Becca
I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN. My family went to Franklin Road Baptist Church. I’m sure I heard the gospel many times from a young age, but it wasn’t until I was five year old in Sunday School that I realized the gospel message had something to do with me personally. When I was five, realized I had a sin problem that would keep me from Heaven. I was accepted Christ in October of 1993. I was baptized two weeks later.

My church and family kept missions at the forefront of many activities. I was able to meet many missionaries personally, which impacted me. My church provided many opportunities to grow and serve in the local church ministry, but also worldwide. While I loved serving in local ministries like bus routes, and children’s classes, my desire was for missions. During my teen years, I was able to take several missions trips, one of which was to Thailand. My time in Thailand especially impacted me. During one of the trips, I spent almost 3 months in the northern Thailand. After graduating from Franklin Road Christian School, I applied to West Coast Baptist College. I met my husband in college and we served on staff at Lancaster Baptist Church after graduation.

During our missions conference in 2014, God began to work in both of our hearts separately about going to the mission field. The Sunday after missions conference, we had a candid discussion about what God was putting into our hearts. We both felt burdened for southeast Asia and started studying about different countries in the area of the world. We started to seriously pray and seek counsel about our next step and in December of 2014, we were able to take a survey trip to the Philippines and Thailand. During our survey trip, God confirmed in both of our hearts the call to Thailand.

Ministry in Thailand
We’ve been on the mission field since 2017. Our focus is evangelizing in our community, discipling believers, and equipping nationals to establish local churches. During our first four years, we served at the Nongloam Baptist Training Center while learning the language. Through translators, we were able to be involved in local church ministries such as preaching and teaching, and community outreach.

For the last two years, we have been serving at a church plant in Lamphun. Sila Baptist Church was started by Jay and Alisa Ballou. Sila Baptist Church is a small, but growing church. At Sila Baptist Church, we are able to serve in various ministries throughout the week, including children’s classes, Bible studies, discipleship, and regular church services, and community outreach.

Our Family
We have four children, Ethan, Selah, Ryder, and Asher.
