We are Bob and Diana Rutta, missionaries serving in the country of New Zealand. It has been our privilege to serve the Lord here since 1988. When we first arrived in New Zealand, we started a church on the North Island and God gave us many blessings there. Our burden is to see the people of New Zealand trust Christ as their Savior and grow in their walk with Him. In order to reach that goal, more churches must be started across this country. We have many cities with no independent Baptist church within several hours driving distance, so there is still much to be done.
Currently, we are serving in the city of Dunedin near the bottom of the South Island. This is a city of about 120,000 people. Dunedin was settled by the Scottish in the 1800s with the goal that it would be the Edinburgh of the South and it retains much of its Scottish personality. We are excited as we see the Lord working in the lives of the people in our church. We need your prayers that we can see souls saved and that this church will continue to grow. Please also pray that the Lord will send more workers to help in spreading the Gospel among the Kiwis—the people of New Zealand.
