Gulf Coast Projects/ Needs

Many needs still exist in the Gulf Coast area. Some ways in which you or your church might be able to assist are listed below. Any help that can be offered, whether by forming a team to go and work on a project or by donating funds for a particular need, would be greatly appreciated. Please send any contributions to BIMI, designate for account #167 and indicate the project to which you would like the funds directed. Thank you for your labor of love.

Bible Baptist Church (Gulfport, Mississippi) - Pastor Jim Stady
1.5 million of 2 million is needed to build a new multi-purpose to repair the one destroyed by the storm. (See article for details)
Concrete workers and plumbers are currently needed.

Candlestick Baptist Church (Sulphur, Louisiana) - Pastor Larry Gandy
1. Fellowship hall light fixtures — $3,100
2. Materials to build cabinets — $2,000
3. Pay off HVAC unit — $8,000
4. Materials for trim work — $2,000
5. Tile flooring for fellowship hall (approximately 2,400 square feet)

Faith Baptist Church (Abbeville, Louisiana) - Pastor John Yanez
The church facility, fellowship hall and mobile home parsonage need to be moved to the new location. This will cost $13,000 (includes permits, moving expense, labor and set up fees).

Faith Baptist Church (Violet, LA) - Pastor Brent Norris
Professional workers are needed to: install carpet, padding and flooring for 2,500 square feet of floor space. This church has the money to purchase the carpet and the flooring.

Grace Baptist Church (Ocean Springs, Mississippi) - Pastor Ed Decker
1. Parsonage needs to be painted on the outside.
2. Parsonage needs approx. 20 double glass windows installed and trimmed out.
3. Dining room flooring needs to be installed. Materials are already purchased.

Lighthouse Baptist Church (Pascagoula, Mississippi) - Pastor Jerry Reed
1. Counter tops — $5,000
2. Electrical work for the homes of two widows — $ 3,500
