BIMI - Japan

Japan

With its population of approximately 127 million people, Japan stands out as the economic leader of the Far East. The country can boast of 100% literacy and a strong work ethic. Yet, less than 2% would profess evangelical Christianity. Still there are cities of 250,000 people with little or no Christian witness. Japan is a mission field. Buddhism, Shintoism and Confucianism stand out as the influential religions/worldviews.

BIMI missionaries have served in Japan since 1963. Our missionaries are currently serving in a variety of ministries including evangelism, church planting and the training of national leadership. BIMI missionaries rejoice in the changed lives of people who have accepted Christ as their Savior. We look forward to continuing our work in the country of Japan. By the way, we are always looking for new volunteers.
