Liberia
BIMI missionaries have served in Liberia since 1986. Our missionaries are currently serving in a variety of church planting ministries including regular worship services, building projects and national leadership training in a small but effective local church Bible institute.
The past years of political unrest and war has hindered the progress of the physical work in Liberia in many ways. Several times the missionaries fled for their lives to the neighboring country of Ivory Coast until it was safe to return. Because of the prevalent threat of danger and even death, Liberians have been sobered spiritually toward the Gospel. The church has witnessed a revived interest among the people concerning the things of the Lord. This has resulted in many seeking and finding Christ. Our missionaries are specifically challenged with trying to rebuild the church buildings that rebels destroyed. However our missionaries rejoice in the continued progress of the works and the changed lives of people who accept Christ as their Savior.
We look forward to continuing our work in the country of Liberia, and invite you to join us in the harvest.
