Papua New Guinea

God has blessed in this island nation with many churches being established. BIMI has had missionaries in the PNG for over 30 years. Twenty town churches and 30 village churches are now under the leadership of national pastors. There is a strong Bible college in Lae and one in Port Moresby. Christian schools for children have been operating for several years. The believers enjoy special weeks of Bible preaching and teaching. Tract distribution, letter boxing, visitation, hospital services and jail ministry are all used to share the gospel in communities. Barbara Owens has the Light Of Light Ministries for sending scriptural helps to the churches in PNG. She and her late husband, John,served there for many years.
