Peru
The history of BIMI missionary activity in Peru spans more than thirty years and is rich and exciting. As a result of intensive evangelism and steady church planting, several churches have been established ranging from the capital city of Lima to remote regions of the Andes Mountains. Great emphasis on discipleship has resulted in many Peruvians responding to the call of ministry. In addition to the above mentioned ministries, other works include TV and radio broadcasts, Bible Schools, camp ministries, evangelistic crusades, camps, and one of the most outstanding deaf ministries ever started on a mission field.
The deaf ministry itself has resulted in 11 deaf churches with deaf pastors. A Christian day school for the deaf boards and educates over 100 deaf Peruvian boys and girls! If we can double our missionary force in Peru in this decade, we will continue to see great strides in God’s work in the coming years.
