List of Caribbean Missionaries

Since BIMI was organized, one of the first areas of missionary involvement was the Caribbean and West Indies. BIMI has approximately 85 missionaries serving the 50 million people of this region. Our primary ministry is church-planting. Associated ministries include Bible institutes and colleges, Christian schools, radio station, and short-term service ministries. The Caribbean is a kaleidoscope of culture and languages. The main languages are English, Spanish, French, Dutch, Creole, and Papiamento. CARICOM, a federation of West Indies governments, is working on improving regional economic standards. Throughout the Caribbean, the standard of living is much better than a decade ago. One will also find a mixture of religion and cultic practices. Spiritism is widespread and is culturally accepted in many of their holiday celebrations. Although the people are very spiritual, relatively few know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The doors are open in most of the Caribbean for church-planting missionaries.
