East European and Eurasia Bible Fund
A brief history
As explained by European Director Brant Holladay
• For twenty years BIMI has been printing and distributing Bibles and New Testaments for Russia and Europe.
• More than 1,350,000 Bibles and Testaments have gone to Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Poland, Ireland, and Romania.
• For the last 11 years we have been reaching into Eurasia. Trips to Turkey, Armenia, Republic of Georgia, and Azerbaijan have opened more doors. BIMI has mobilized some trusted nationals to take BIMI Bibles into Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan. Our intention is to assist in training pastors for secret churches in closed countries.
• Assyrian people groups scattered in several countries received 4,000 whole Bibles in their own language in 2010.
• Presently, BIMI is working to send 4,000 more Farsi language Bibles to Afghanistan and Iran. The cost is $7 each for the entire Bible in Farsi.
Two questions to consider:1. What is my response to Muslim expansion worldwide?
2. Should my church care?
One response to counter Muslim advancement
• Remember, this year September 11 falls on Sunday.
• Make that Sunday a special focus on reaching Muslims.
• Educate the church on basic Muslim beliefs.
• Show your people how to love the Muslim people to Christ.
• Teach a Sunday school lesson on why your church should care.
• Inspire interest in Muslim evangelism.
• Motivate the church to give Bibles to Muslims.
How can BIMI help?
1. A suitable Sunday school lesson will be sent by e-mail on PDF file to anyone who e-mails me—no cost involved.
2. A church bulletin insert on how to reach Muslims for Christ will be sent by e-mail on PDF to anyone who e-mails me—no cost involved.
