Layne Jones
We started our orphanage in 1988 after, we received $6000 (from a missionary to the lepers in Thailand) for our orphanage building. Our first orphan, David, was given to us two months after my wife started praying for an orphan while reading George Mueller's book about orphans.
David was about 2 weeks old when our students brought him to us. He was laying in a hammock in an old nipa hut. His mother had died giving birth to him and he was full of parasites.
We now have 16 orphans. Two of our orphans have grown up and are in the last years of our Bible college. Jovie who helps with our orphans is paralyzed. She fell off a table when she was young and both legs are paralyzed.
