BIMI missionaries in England

Puppets in Hungary

(Charin, her husband Marc and children are BIMI missionaries in Hungary)

We have really enjoyed doing the puppet shows in the schools. There is a wide open door to the public schools that amazes me. They are more than happy to have a group from a church come and present a good quality, entertaining program to the kids. People here in Hungary still have a respect for religious holidays that we have been able use to our advantage.

Our first time we used the puppet ministry was Christmas, 2004, in five schools and a home for the mentally disabled. We were a bit hesitant at first as to how the administrations would receive us, but we were very pleasantly surprised at their enthusiasm. They all allowed us to come back at Easter. This past Christmas we were able to be in seven schools, and I am praying the Lord will allow us to increase that number this year.

It is so exciting to return to a school and have the kids all come out with shining faces, greeting us like long lost friends. Most of these kids would never be allowed to come to church, and yet right there in the school we are able to tell them of Jesus and his love.

One of the songs we taught last year at Easter was "My God is So Great, So Strong and So Mighty." At one point I was overcome with emotion watching hundreds of children singing God's praises! I do not know how many have accepted Christ (we do not give an open invitation), but I am trusting God that the many little seeds we have planted will someday bear fruit to His glory.
