I was saved on April 14, 1959, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield, Iowa. Karen was saved at age five at a Good News Bible Club, sponsored by the same church, which her father pastored. We were childhood sweethearts and were married on May 29, 1971. After graduating from Bible college in 1972, I served the Lord as a youth pastor in Colorado and then pastored stateside for seven years.
Karen and I served as missionaries to the United States military before we joined Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI) in 1999. We have served our United States military and their families for 34 years in Spain, Germany, Japan, and the United States. God has allowed us the privilege of impacting nearly 10,000 military personnel, civilians, local nationals, and their families since we surrendered to missions in 1982.
In 2005, I was privileged to teach at West Coast Baptist College for two semesters. During that same time, we had the blessing of opening the BIMI West Coast Office. BIMI asked me to be the Military Field Editor for the BIMI World magazine for several years. After 46 years of ministry, our desire is to be useful in encouraging, assisting, and relieving missionaries anywhere in the world under the Assistance & Relief Missionary (ARM) ministry of BIMI.
