Jack and Dorothea Francis
We have all heard the saying, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but at the same time, nothing is impossible with God. Age matters not to God, only a willingness to serve him with your whole heart. God called Jack and Doreatha after a thirty-five year career in their local church. They answered the call, willing to serve God with their whole heart.

The Ministry of Jack & Dorothea Francis

The Need for Deaf Ministry....
There is a growing population of people with hearing impairment, not only in America, but around the globe. There are 200 million Deaf in the entire world. Approximately two million are under the age of 18. One out of ten people born in the world is deaf, and 30 million people in America have a significant hearing loss. While two thirds of America's Deaf communicate only through sign language, only 2% of America's Deaf claim to be Christian. Sign Language is the fourth most common language in America.

Answering the Call...
When Jack Francis was saved at the age of fifteen, he never imagined that after working in his career for forty years in the state of Massachusetts, God would call him and his wife, Dorothea, into full-time ministry to the Deaf. Their ministry is unique, in that Dorothea is a "national". She has been deaf since a young girl and has always had a burden to see the Deaf come to know Christ as Savior.

After marrying in 1959, Jack and Dorothea served for over thirty years in three local churches, reaching out to deaf people in their communities. In 1994 Jack and Dorothea surrendered to the call of the Lord to enter full-time ministry to the Deaf all across the United States and also ministering in other countries as well.

The Francis' have four children (all of whom serve the Lord) and several grandchildren. Jack and Dorothea reside in Inman, SC.

Jack and Dorothea work with local churches to take the Gospel of Christ to Deaf in the communities near that church.
