We are missionaries with Baptist International Missions Inc. of Chattanooga, TN. We are currently on deputation and are headed to the wonderful country of Romania.

Neither my wife nor I were raised in Christian homes. As adults we began to search for the Lord in the Bible and in various churches. A neighbor eventually invited us to visit his church, Patuxent Baptist Church. We visited, heard the gospel for the first time and were both saved in April of 1996.

Shortly after I enrolled in Bible College (Independent Baptist Bible College, Clinton MD). In January of 1997, during a mission’s conference, both my wife and I surrendered to full-time service. I continued to go to college and both Michelle and I wondering where the Lord might eventually lead us and what He would have us to do.

During a mission’s conference in January of 2001, I felt the Lord calling me to missions. In August of 2003 a friend asked if we would like to go with him to Romania. We went and after we spent nearly two weeks there, we knew this is where God would have us serve Him. We have a great love for the Romanian people and desire to see souls saved, churches established and nationals trained.

Our three oldest children have all made professions of faith and have been baptized. They are interested and excited about Romania as well. Please pray for the Lewis Family as we continue deputation.
