CLAIM has invested much time and effort into the building project at Maranatha Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan. We thought it would be good to highlight the work there. Carl Vonnoh writes about the latest crew to go to work on this project.

“Our work crew proved up to the task. Several of our team members labored night and day to bring this project closer to completion. Jeff Randall kept our work team organized. Ceiling tile and insulation had to be put in place. Floor tile was installed to cover much of the floor in the up stairs and down stairs halls. Ceramic tile was placed in the bathrooms. Electrical work provided lights for the beautiful new structure. Thanks to the hard working team of men and women who labored to the glory of God, the project is now 95% complete. Our team also had opportunities to give testimonies, preach and hand out Japanese tracts. Please pray that they sell their old building in order to help pay off the new building.”

Missionary Steve Nutt has done a tremendous job reaching our men and women who are stationed at the military base in Okinawa Japan. He writes to thank the CLAIM teams for their sacrifice and hard work.

“We here at Maranatha Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan, would like to thank the BIMI Claim ministry with all our heart for their sacrificial assistance in helping us build our new church building. In 2002 we had seven CLAIM teams come to assist us. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the time and labor this saved Maranatha Baptist Church. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with each team while they were here. Each team worked extremely hard every day; however, we were able to work in some sight-seeing, shopping trips, Japanese meals, as well as handing out gospel tracts. To have these special people come into our church and work with us was a great help and blessing to our people. Some of our people were able to establish friendships that will last throughout eternity. We appreciate you wonderful people and know the Lord will bless you for your labor of love.”
