ASTORIA, NEW YORK

BIMI missionaries, Coy and Nancy Shaw, work in a Portuguese language ministry in Astoria, New York. They currently meet in the building of Open Door Bible Baptist Church, Pastor Pete Montoro. The Lord worked a miracle in providing an old Jewish Synagogue built back in the 1930’s.  Improvements to the building need to be made. This church supports our BIMI missionaries.  We need to come along side to support them.  This work is small and has limited resources.  Your help is needed NOW.

JANUARY – APRIL – FLOORING
(1,500 square feet ceramic tile for the entrance and downstairs bathrooms)

FEBRUARY OR MARCH – ROOM DIVIDERS are needed in the basement

MARCH OR APRIL – DROP CEILING (3,000 square feet)

Food and housing will be provided for two men or a married couple.  Showers are available.  Hotels in the area cost about $100 each night.  If you drive a pickup it must have a cover over the back to be considered noncommercial.  This type vehicle may park in front of the church if space is available.  Commercial trucks (without covers) must park two or three miles away in a church member’s driveway.  As you may know parking in the New York City area is a premium.
