two pianos, a fellowship hall, Sunday school rooms, a nursery, a kitchen, and an
outdoor picnic pavilion. It comes with tables, chairs, lawn mower, and audio-visual
equipment. The rooms are all fully furnished and move-in ready. The property has
an estimated value of over $600,000. However, it is being offered to us exclusively
for a special asking price of $200,000!
At the time of the offer, our people had around $40,000 saved in our Building
Fund. Since then we have been working hard to raise the funds through special
sacrificial offerings from our members as well as other fundraising activities. Since
October 20, our members have raised almost $14,000. We have also received other
donations from individuals who have a burden for the Hispanics in Charleston. In
just three months, we now have over $80,000 in our Building Fund. That means
we only need to raise $120,000 to be able to complete the purchase debt free. We
have until June 2020 to raise the balance. Please pray that we will be able to raise
the needed funds. If you are interested in partnering with us in raising the money
for this property, please contact me at the number below.
Needless to say, for our church to be able to obtain this property
in Charleston is a miracle! This is confirmation that the work and
impact of Iglesia Bautista Victoria (IBV) is just beginning. Please
continue to pray that IBV can make a lasting impact in the lives
of many who are a part of this needy mission field right here on American soil.
By His grace, we will keep planning and then allow the Lord to accomplish His
purposes any way He chooses.
1 Chronicles 29:11–13 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory,
and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine;
thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches
and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power
and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now
therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is
the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and
when ye turn to the left (Isaiah 30:21).
The Lord has faithfully shown me the way He wants me to go by using background,
His Word, needs, circumstances, and strong conviction in my heart. The steps of
a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way (Psalm 37:23).
When we let the Lord order our steps, He leads us in delightful ways.
One of the delightful ways in which the Lord has led me is in the area of hospitality.
First Peter 4:9 tells us to use hospitality one to another without grudging. How can
we begrudge being hospitable when there are so many blessings connected with it?
First, it was my good fortune to grow up in a home where people were always
welcomed. Sometimes relatives lived with us. Our childhood friends were always
welcomed, and they loved coming to our house. If someone happened to drop in
just at mealtime, he was always invited to share the meal with us. That upbringing
has been invaluable in the ministry.
Second, His Word says we should be given to sincere hospitality. Of course, that
precludes using good discretion. The Apostle John said that to give hospitality
