With great joy, I watched the last two containers of 100,000 Bibles being delivered into the country of
Papua New Guinea. As every box was transferred into safe storage by national volunteers to prepare
them for distribution, my heart thanked God for every donor who has sacrificially given to supply
this precious gift. We have received 20 containers making a total of 1,100,000 Bibles. Thank you for
helping this vision become a reality.
We still have 140,000 Bibles that are yet to be distributed. We have completed all of the larger cities.
Most of the future distribution will be in very remote areas. We covet your prayers as there will be
travel by trucks over nearly impassable roads, boat rides on the open ocean with monstrous waves,
plane rides across mountainous terrain, and hiking across rickety bridges over rivers and swamps to
personally hand a Bible to a young person. This is the Lord’s doing; It is marvellous in our eyes (Psalm
118:23). I thank God for each one who has been involved in every aspect of this project. I have asked
some of the national pastors and missionaries to share their hearts as to what this project has meant
to them and their churches.
Alan Brooks — BIMI PNG Bible Project Coordinator
Greetings in Christ our Rock and Blessed Redeemer. As a missionary and pastor, I am
so blessed to have Brother Alan Brooks and BIMI team come to Papua New Guinea
as “Ambassadors of the Gospel” through Bible Distribution Project. He has become a
good friend of ours and we call him the “Bible Man.”
I am ministering at a place in PNG that is spread across 100s of islands and the
Baptist churches and Gospel-preaching churches are just a handful. Lost souls are
dying here and need the Word and preachers to come over and help us. I am one of
the missionary pastors who has been tremendously privileged with Bibles to give to
1000s of children and preach salvation messages to them. Many of them are from all
over this province and from all corners of the scattered islands. As a result, we had
so many open doors and opportunities alone along the East Cape highway of Milne
Bay with children waving at the church truck and stopping and receiving tracts gladly.
We had several professions of faith made during the distribution. One time we were
distributing Bibles in a school and via the sound system a neighbor lady who had read
John chapter 3 that morning and had asked the Lord to help her understand what
born again meant heard me preach. She climbed over the fence and sneaked in the
school assembly and received the Gospel. In tears she shook my hands that now she
knew what Jesus meant and that she also accepted Christ at the invitation.
Through the Bible distribution, I had a head teacher get saved and she started coming
to church with us. She also invited me to visit her family and more than once the Lord
opened doors to share the Gospel and lead her children to Christ.
I have used BIMI Bibles so many times over to lead sinners to Christ. There are so
many stories, so many lives
touched of which only
heaven will truly reveal at
the Judgment Seat of Christ.
