in Papua New Guinea. Thank God for the
opportunity that happened in my lifetime! I
have seen the excitement, tears, smiles, etc.,
that were shown when children received their
Bibles. The inspiration of this project was when
children and adults got to know Jesus Christ
as their Lord and personal Savior. Words and
ink cannot recap all those special moments
as the Bible-man, Alan Brooks, speaks and
drives the message of why the Bible is precious
to his audience. One can see the countless
countenances of people reacting with applause
and appreciation. This project was what PNG
as a country needed to build and change our
children. Thank you, BIMI. Glory to God!”

“The impact of the Bible distribution has been
immense, observing from the great receptions
received from the recipient schools wherever
the distribution took place. Students now have
individual Bibles. This wave of acceptance of
the Bibles has swept across the school system.

“Converting a person to become a Christian
and be a good citizen is not an overnight thing.

It takes time and a gradual process (except
where the Lord intervenes Himself). The Bible
in the hands of the children instills fear in
them not to do things that are not Godly and
over time, this becomes the normal.

“Some parents, I have been told, were happy
for the Bible distribution as they could see
some changes in their children’s actions. I, for
one, believe that. Although critics will have
different opinions, depending on their religious
beliefs, the impact the Bible distribution has on
students far outweighs doubts about its success.”

“What a deep question! In short, has the Bible
project changed the nation? No. But neither has
my church on this side of the city changed the
city. Wide is the road to destruction; narrow is
the way that leads to life; and few there be that
find it.

“At the same time, has the Bible project
changed individuals who have allowed it them?
ABSOLUTELY, without a doubt! I have young
adults in our church now whom we would
never have met if it had not been for taking the
Bibles to them when they were in high school.

And now, they are saved, baptized, and serving
the Lord in the local church. What better win
is there than that?
“So while I would love to see social change,
the Gospel is not social change. It is heart
transformation in the lives of individuals.”

“The Bible is seed being handed to the young
generation and their teachers. What was
difficult to obtain is given free. Thank you!
It indeed is a great investment and one that
should not be doubted.

Cabbage takes three months to mature, coffee
three years, and trees 30 years—but men a
lifetime. Real fruit will remain as John 15:16
says. I am not sure if a tangible result can be
seen at least in the short-term. I can only talk
about my youth as a pastor. To see a result now
may be difficult but that should not discourage
us from the investment.”
I hope these testimonies will shine some light on
the questions that have been asked. I have been
distributing to schools in the Gulf Province in
recent weeks. I pulled into a large high school
where there should have been classes but no
students were present. I was approached by
Rex Kiri Karaua, an elderly gentleman, who
was the chairman of the governing board of
the school. I informed him of the reason for
my visit. He shared with me that the school
