Changed Life in Christ
Testimony of Earl Hensley

My name is Earl Hensley and I have been deaf since I was two years old. I met Jack and Dorothea Francis back in April 1997 when they came to my church, Grace Baptist Church, in Landrum, South Carolina to present their ministry to the Deaf and preach a weekend revival. I had accepted Jesus as my Savior sometime before this date, but had gotten away from the Lord and was living in sin. I even tried attending other churches just to satisfy my curiosity and meet other Deaf. In 2005 I met Jack and Dorothea again when they moved into my home town and attended Grace Baptist when they were not traveling to other churches. Jack seemed to take an interest in me and I did not know why, so asked him, why he cared about me. He said, "I believe you can do better with your life and your walk with the Lord.”

Yes, I was guilty of living in sin and my marriage was a mess, later my wife left me. But Jack and his wife never gave up on me. They would visit me, ask how I was doing. As time went on I remarried and asked God to forgive me for the mess I had made of my life. I got back to church and started a new life away from sin.

Jack had a great influence in me getting back in church and cleaning up my life, and I thank God for him and their ministry to the Deaf. Their ministry has had a great influence on many Deaf souls here in America and other countries also.
