The 100 Nations Project
“Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.”

What an ambitious enterprise! Only the Creator of the universe could envision and empower such a commission. Over the last 45 years BIMI missionaries have striven to make the Lord’s last words our first priority.

Thousands of Independent Baptist churches have answered the call, mobilizing more than a thousand BIMI missionaries to more than 80 nations of the world. These missionaries have been used by the Lord to plant thousands of churches and bring untold numbers of souls under the sound of the Gospel. While we praise the Lord for every soul that has been saved and every life that has been changed, we confess that we have barely scratched the surface of the 6.5 billion inhabitants of planet earth.

Consider the 20 countries of Africa that have no Fundamental Baptist missionaries. Add to that the 15 additional countries of Europe in a similar condition. Then include the 30 countries of Asia and the Middle East, several of which are openly hostile and practically “closed” to official missionary activity. Just a casual tour of the world reveals more than 65 countries* that still wait for light in the darkness.

We should not be content to accept these facts, or worse yet, to merely lament the state of things. Rather, let us roll up our sleeves, recapture our vision for the world, and recommit ourselves to the Great Commission! Our Master’s words still ring clear and true…into all the world!

However, any undertaking of monumental proportions needs to be broken into manageable portions. We want to follow our Lord’s command to the uttermost parts of the earth, but how do we get there from here? Out of this deliberation, comes an exciting opportunity.

We have identified 20 “open” countries where we currently have no missionaries. We are praying that God will send us at least 100 new missionaries over the next five years to start new churches in those countries! That would propel us across 20 new borders, expanding our church planting ministry into more than 100 nations of the world.

Let’s not forget that the missionaries already at work in 83 countries are also in desperate need of reinforcements. Several countries have only one or two missionaries who have been praying for someone to come over and help them. We must mobilize hundreds of missionaries to these nations in the next few years! Overall, we are asking God to send us 100 new missionaries per year for the next five years to help reap a harvest of souls in 100 nations of the world!

So what about it? Will you join us in this essential endeavor? Will you help us take a few more steps toward the uttermost parts of earth? We call out to churches with a vision for the world; “Help us cross new borders! Help us mobilize more workers!” We appeal to the colleges and universities; “Help us prepare a new generation of harvest hands! Point them beyond the fields of home to the ripened plains of distant lands!” We pray that The 100 Nations Project will become more than 100 nations and 500 missionaries. We trust that it will become a movement of the Spirit of God that will flow to every kindred, nation, tongue, and tribe. And that, ultimately, is our destiny and our desire.
