MORE WORKERS FOR THE FIELDS!

BIMI’s Candidate School is an annual reminder of the need for more laborers for the nations of the world. This year, ten couples and nine individuals presented themselves for missionary service. As you read their names and see their faces on the following pages, we trust that you will be moved to pray for them…and for others to follow in their footsteps!

One of our missionaries is nearly finished with deputation and excited about beginning a new church in the USA! Please pray for Scott and Jennifer Cornoyer as they start a church in Columbia/Fort Mead, Maryland.

Since the age of six, Scott has always wanted to fly! So, in 1990, he joined the US Navy at the age of 19. He also trusted Christ as Savior during that year while still in Boot Camp!

Scott enjoyed a remarkable Navy career as a recon pilot for fourteen years and subsequently served another three and half years in Defense and Intelligence. He has worked for the Army Intelligence Command as well as the National Security Agency. He was also Communications Logistics Manager for Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.

Scott walked away from a lucrative job with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) in Washington on December 28, 2006. He had surrendered to God’s working in his life to be a missionary church planter in the USA. God has called Scott to plant a church near the people that he has worked with for the last 17 years of his life. In the fall of 2007, Scott plans to start the High Point Independent Baptist Church in Columbia, Maryland.

Columbia is home to Fort Meade, the home of the NSA for which Scott was employed. He believes that his military background will give him credibility with the intelligence community of the area and will be a catalyst to his church-planting ministry. He currently has 70 percent of his support and is praying for the rest to come in before the fall. Would you pray for Scott and Jennifer and the other missionaries represented on the following pages?
