Join CONNECT Scotland for an unforgettable ministry experience! The team will be traveling to the northeast coast of the country and the charming city of Aberdeen. The team will assist BIMI Missionaries Rick and Sarah Demastus who are in the process of planting their first work—Open Door Baptist Church.

The Demastus family has been able to purchase a building that they were renting but they need help with some cosmetic renovations (nothing structural, just painting, cleaning, decorating, etc.). In addition to assisting with this, the team will participate in a door-to-door literature distribution campaign designed to saturate the community with information about the new church. All packets will include a clear presentation of the Gospel. There may even be an opportunity for some street evangelism, depending upon the weather and the work progress.

The CONNECT Scotland team will have the privilege of spending two Sundays with the missionaries. Because Scotland is an English-speaking country (well, sort of), team members will be able to communicate with everyone without the help of an interpreter. This should lead to some great opportunities to share the Gospel.

Scotland is a magnificent country! One full day will be set aside to travel by train to the old city of Edinburg and walk the “Royal Mile." Edinburg is considered one of the four most beautiful cities in the world. The two-hour train ride from Aberdeen to Edinburgh and back will offer breathtaking, world-class vistas along the coast. Additionally, the team will get to escape the hot temperatures in the States and experience summer in Scotland—better bring a sweater or jacket!

All expenses except for snacks and/or souvenirs are covered in the cost of the trip. This includes all travel expenses and admissions to any castles or museums the group may tour in Edinburgh or Aberdeen. Please be aware that you may be sharing a room depending on the breakdown of the participants. Of course, travel insurance is also included in the price. The Lord is doing great things in Scotland.
