International Representative of Military Ministries
Jeff Alverson was saved at age nine and surrendered to preach when he was 22 while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Since then, he has been in Christian service.
Honorably discharged from the military, he immediately entered college for preparation in the ministry. After earning degrees from Tennessee Temple University, Faith Theological Seminary, and Christian Bible College, he was honored with degrees of Doctorate of Divinity and Doctorate of Sacred Laws and Letters.
Dr. Alverson has successfully started and pastored churches in North Carolina and Virginia. After pastoring a total of 14 years stateside, he resigned his church in 1985 to pursue a ministry to the U.S. Military worldwide. He served 9 years in Germany and 21 years as World Coordinator and Assistant Director of Military Missions. From 2014 to 2019 he served with Baptist International Missions, Inc., as the Director of Military Missions, a ministry of church planting around U.S. Military installations.
