Albania - Europe

It is one of Europe’s poorest countries. After World War II, Albania became a Stalinist state and remained isolated until its transition to democracy after 1990. Now there is freedom of religion and the opportunity to evangelize where there are very few Baptist churches. Since 1996 BIMI has had mission work in this needy area where there is a strong presence of the Muslim faith. Nevertheless, a good church has been built with sincere young believers growing in their faith.
