Grenada - Caribbean

This group of islands lie in the southern part of the Windward island group. The primary island, Grenada, has been known for its harbor repair facilities. Many foreigners bring their boats to Grenada for repairs. Grenada also is the home of an "off shore" medical school that attracts many American medical students. This island group has about 100,000 residents. Although Grenada is remembered for its past political instability and gravitation toward communism, today it is a very stable and structured government. BIMI missionaries have established a number of independent Baptist churches in the past. As in any island, there are still villages and areas that need a good Gospel preaching church.
