Montserrat - Caribbean

Montserrat, for many years, enjoyed tranquility, but when the dormant Sufriere volcano began to erupt in June 1995, the residents had to find solace elsewhere. Those living on the northern plateau were spared from much of the ash that exploded from the volcano.

Today, only 4,500 people are resident on the island. Transportation to the island is available only by boat and helicopter. To meet the need of these remaining residents, BIMI’s Caribbean Radio Lighthouse staff has been actively sending teams to Montserrat to minister to the spiritual needs of the people. A need exists to re-establish a fundamental Baptist church on this island. Pray much for the spiritual and physical needs this people. Any helicopter pilots or sailors out there looking for a ministry?
