Trinidad - Caribbean

This southernmost island in the West Indies has around 2.8 million people. Trinidad is a multi-cultural country with the primary groups being West Indians, East Indians, and Orientals. Because of its divergent ethnic groups, Trinidad has a mixture of religions. The Spiritists, Roman Catholics, Hindus, Cults, and Muslims make up the predominant religious groups. Spiritism plays a major part in the life of the Trinidad people. Once outlawed by the government, today its evidences are in every corner of the island.

A real need exists in establishing fundamental independent Baptist churches that not only preach the Word, but also practice the Word of God. Pray that we will be able to start a number of new works in the near future. Currently only one BIMI missionary is laboring in the area of Arima, and another BIMI missionary has just arrived. The door to Trinidad is open. Pray that a number of new missionaries will answer the call to reach this needy country.
