Laura trusted Christ as her Savior on January 1, 1997. She grew up in a Christian home and attended a missions-minded church, both of which had a huge impact on her life and interest in missions. She received her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Pensacola Christian College. After teaching for several years, she received a master’s degree in education from West Coast Baptist College. Laura is currently working on the dissertation process for a doctoral degree in special education from National University and hopes to complete this degree by December. Besides being a teacher for 15 years, Laura has assisted with her church’s children’s ministries, music program, and visitation supper preparation. Over the last five years, the Lord used lessons from Bible reading, sermons, and CAMP BIMI to direct Laura to enter foreign missions. After much prayer and some unique "coincidences," Laura felt God gave her peace about going to Cambodia to work alongside missionaries that her church supports. Last summer, she had the amazing opportunity to spend three weeks in Cambodia visiting several missionaries, seeing their ministries, and experiencing the culture. Laura is excited to see how God will use her in Cambodia and what He will teach her in the future.
