Wes & Faith Ann Bartley

Serving in St. Lucia, Caribbean

Email (View Email Address)

Wes and Faith Ann Bartley are Canadian missionaries sent out of FaithWay Baptist Church of Ajax, Ontario, Canada, who were both raised in a Christian home. Exposed to the Gospel early and often, Faith Ann was saved at the age of five. Wes’s parents were saved later in life, and his conversion did not take place until he was thirteen.

After meeting at Bible College, Faith Ann and Wes were married in 1988. They have three grown children and one grandson.

Together, in their local church they served faithfully in many capacities. Wes was a Sunday School bus driver, youth worker, choir member, and was involved in special music and church drama productions. He also served as a deacon for over ten years.

Faith Ann served as a Sunday School teacher for over 15 years, sang in the choir and special groups, was a youth worker, and worked on staff at their Christian Day School and Bible College.

Though the Bartleys were actively using their gifts to serve the Lord in their local church, Wes felt for many years that God wanted something more from him. He was surrendered to the Lord, but God did not see fit to place a call upon his life until he was in his late forties. As youth workers, the Bartleys were able to go on several missions trips with the teens. God began to work in their hearts through this exposure. In God’s time, He solidified their call to the mission field.

In 2012, after finishing deputation, the Bartleys began their ministry in the Caribbean country of St. Lucia. Once established in the country, the Bartleys worked with a national for over a year learning the culture and ministry there on the island.

In 2013, the Bartleys began planting Whosoever Baptist Church of Dennery. Once this church was established they began working in the school system with special education children and helped start CAMP YES St. Lucia. Yearly revival meetings were been held as an outreach for the community of Dennery to encourage, and to uplift their church members. The Bartleys have had the privilege of leading many souls to Christ. In 2018, a family in a nearby village had a fire and lost everything. Seeing their needs, the Bartleys reached out brought them supplies. Through this experience, the husband and wife were both saved and asked if the Bartleys would start a church there. God used this series of events to open the door for a church plant in the village of Bruceville.

Bruceville Baptist Church was born in 2019 and is slowly growing to the point where a new meeting place is needed. In early 2024, they broke ground and began building. They are currently under construction and are working as the funds come in each month. If you are interested in helping financially with this project, you may give through BIMI to Wes and Faith Ann Bartley (#1416).
