LifeSigns Deaf Baptist Church

Serving the Deaf

The history of LifeSigns Deaf Baptist Church (under the leadership of Pastor Scott Crabtree) began on April 29, 2018, in Columbus, Ohio, with an Opening Day of 103 in attendance and 3 baptisms. At least 75 of those in attendance were either Deaf or DeafBlind. After a few months of meeting in a small classroom, the Lord allowed us to be able to move to New Albany, Ohio, where we were able to rent the building of a church that had closed its doors. Since then, we have been able to see tremendous growth and have seen many reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In July of 2020, we received news that the building was being put up for sale and that we would need to either relocate or purchase the building along with 4.96 acres. The price (due to the area) is more than we are personally able to afford as a young church, but a Christian businessman who loves the Deaf has stepped in to loan us the amount and act as our bank. He is giving us 5 years without interest to be able to raise the funds. We do have the option at that time to sell two of the five acres if needed to help reduce the loan amount.

We want to thank you for your contribution which will enable us to pay down the principal during this 5-year timeframe. It would be much appreciated if you would be willing to share this need with people you know who would be interested in our efforts to reach the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hearing with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Checks may also be written to BIMI and sent to: BIMI, P.O. Box 9, Harrison, TN 37341 with Account #547—LifeSigns Building Fund on the memo line.

Please pray for the LifeSigns Deaf Baptist Church and the Scott Crabtree Family—we look forward to seeing what God is going to do!
