Rebecka was saved in 2008 and baptized at First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. Throughout her early life, Rebecka’s mom suffered from Cystic Fibrosis. Rebecka took care of her mother and family during this time. She saw God work in a miraculous way by providing a lung transplant for her mother. Rebecka heard a Ukrainian pastor speak during a youth revival and she felt a deep burden for those without the Gospel in other countries. Jeff’s family began deputation as missionaries to Brazil on September 11, 2001. Jeff was saved in 2002 as a five year old and baptized at First Baptist Church shortly thereafter. While watching a youth conference DVD, Jeff surrendered his life to missions. He began helping his father translate books for the Portuguese-speaking world. Jeff also participated in the music department of his church as well as helping with the multimedia in a church they were helping. Jeff and Rebecka met at Hyles-Anderson. He graduated in December 2018 with a major in media and a minor in Bible and she graduated in May 2020. Jeff and Rebecka were married on July 24, 2020. They plan to go to Brazil to serve alongside his father as missionaries until Becka completes language school and then move forward as church planters.
