SALVATION
Tayler was born into a Christian home. His father was in the United States Air Force and stationed in the Azores Islands, Portugal, when Tayler was born. Tayler made a few professions of faith, but it was not until the age of 20 when he was in Bible college that he put his faith and trust in the finished work of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Lorin was born into a Christian family in Oregon. Her parents were called to be missionaries to the Mapuche people of Argentina. When Lorin was 12 years old, she trusted Christ as her Savior, and her father had the privilege of baptizing her four months later. After deputation, Lorin’s family left for the mission field in 2008.

EDUCATION
Tayler attended Bible college for two years (2008–2010) after graduation from high school. He then continued and completed his studies (2010–2013) under his pastor (Bud Silva) at his home church, Coast Hills Baptist Church in the Church Institute. Lorin completed her post high school education through the online BIMI International Bible Institute in 2020. Tayler and Lorin completed further missions training at Bible Baptist Translator's Institute in 2021.

MINISTRY
The Norris family was accepted with BIMI in December 2015 and began their deputation ministry in September 2016. They completed their deputation ministry at the beginning of 2020 but were delayed in departure due to the shutdown of international borders. Lord willing, they will leave for language school in Brazil in the fall of 2021. After language school, Tayler and Lorin will move to Mozambique to begin their church planting ministry.
