Fred & Roma Rojas
Serving in
Military Ministry
Dear Pastor,
Thank you for your concern for our mission field. We are Fred and Roma Rojas, your missionaries to the U.S. Military Worldwide. The Lord has given us a burden for the spiritual needs of our men and women in uniform.
Military personnel have most of their needs met by the Federal Government, but in most cases their spiritual needs remain unmet. Our desire is to spread the Gospel and establish independent Baptist churches in the vicinity of military installations.
Enclosed in this packet please find information about my wife and I including our testimony, experience in ministry, our calling, ministry goals and recommendation letters from my Pastor and the BIMI Military Field Director. We want to thank you for taking the time to consider helping us get to the mission field to fulfill God’s call upon our lives and the Great Commission.
If you would like to learn more about the military ministry God has called us to, we would love to come and share our burden with you and your church. You can contact me by

Fred’s Testimony / Ministry Experience / Call to Ministry
I was born in the Philippines into an U.S. Air Force family. During my childhood and teenage years, I was expected to attend Catholic mass with my mother, all along never hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel and going to Heaven or Hell after death. After graduating from high school, I joined the US Air Force and was honorably retired after 24 years. Before reporting to my first base, while attending a Navigator’s rally, I heard the Gospel and subsequently prayed and received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. After I was scripturally baptized at Temple Baptist Church in Rancho Cordova, California, I immediately had a burden to witness to the military personnel on my base and the Lord allowed me to lead several military souls to Christ. I married the love of my life, Roma, at Clark Air Base, Philippines, and continued to serve the Lord there. In my future assignments, I always was with independent Baptist churches and would find myself serving the Lord in ministries as Junior Church Teacher & Sunday School Teacher to children and adults, as song leader and choir member, an usher and coordinator for singles and unaccompanied meals, soul winning and visitation follow-up team member, and was a deacon in my past four churches. I also served as a member of the Pulpit Committee in calling a Pastor for Maranatha Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan. Also while in Okinawa, I completed Faith Bible Institute, earning a Bible Degree. During a revival in Japan in Nov 2016, I surrendered to full-time ministry. It was not long until Aug 2017 I believed God was calling me to preach the Gospel. I believe God is specifically calling me to reach the men and women of the U.S. Military. In Sep 2018, I was ordained as a preacher of the Gospel and am excited and looking forward to God’s leading where I can serve the Lord and fulfill the purpose God has for my life.
Roma’s Testimony / Ministry Experience
I was born and raised in the Philippines. I grew up in a home where my parents have two different religions, namely, my Dad was Catholic and my Mom was Iglesia ni Cristo or Church of Christ. This brought confusion and chaos in my family. During my college years, I began to search for the true faith. God lovingly brought Christians into my life who shared to me the Gospel, God’s simple plan of salvation. However, it was not until before my college graduation when the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart that I needed a Saviour. Without hesitation, I asked Jesus to come in to my heart and save me. Fred and I met at the Chapel on base and got married shortly thereafter. I was scripturally baptized during Fred’s reassignment back to the U.S. As Fred was assigned from one base to another, God allowed us to serve in local independent Baptist churches in the various ministries. Some of the ministries I was privileged to work include nursery, Junior church, Sunday school teacher to single ladies both military and civilian, soul winning, taught one-on-one discipleship for ladies’ new believers, choir, led Filipino ladies’ Bible study, and Single GI cooking team coordinator and cook. I am excited to continue to serve the Lord in military missions and follow my husband’s calling whether here in the US or abroad.

Recommendation by Pastor Ed Navato (BIMI Missionary)
Dear Pastor
Greetings from Maranatha Baptist Church in Okinawa, Japan! It is indeed a great honor and privilege to recommend to you missionaries Brother Fred and Mrs. Roma Rojas for prayers and financial support.
They have proven themselves as servants of the LORD JESUS CHRIST while they served in Maranatha Baptist Church for five years. Each of them served in two Sunday School classes, Brother Fred in the College and Career Class, and Mrs. Roma in the Filipina Teachers Class. Brother Fred was our former Sunday School Superintendent. They both also coordinated meals for all the church singles and the military personnel that attended whose families were in the States.
Brother Fred and Mrs. Roma are soul-winners and led many sou!s while they were here in Japan. They led souls to CHRIST during the church service altar invitation, during church visitation, and they win souls everywhere they go. Brother Fred was one of our deacons and Ms. Roma served in the Church Nursery. They also served in the Baptism Ministry to prepare the candidates for scriptural baptism. Brother Fred was our congregational song-leader and Mrs. Roma sang in the choir.
Brother and Mrs. Rojas love the LORD and surrendered as missionaries to the US Military. Brother Fred is called to preach GOD'S Word. They are a team to evangelize in the US Forces mission field, disciple the converts, and plant local churches where the LORD sends them.
I highly recommend Brother and Mrs. Rojas for your church prayers and financial support. They will bear much fruit that "may abound to your account." Philippians 4:17
Very Respectfully,
Brother Ed Navato
Pastor of Maranatha Baptist Church

To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for taking the time to review this information from Fred and Roma Rojas. It is with great joy that I recommend them to be considered as ambassadors for your missions endeavor. We are excited to have Fred and Roma Rojas as missionaries with Baptist International Missions, Inc., working with military missions.
As I came to know them through the application process, I quickly realized they had gained much experience in ministry work even while they were advancing in the military and later in the civilian world. They have been a tremendous blessing everywhere God has placed them through the years.
What probably stands out to me more than anything is their passion for souls. All Christians love to see people saved but few develop a passion to become active in reaching the world. Fred and Roma Rojas have done this and that is the reason I am confident that your investment in them will result in a great return in eternity.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions that you may have. Thank you for both your time and your consideration in this matter.
Very Respectfully,
Bryan Baggett
