a typical Brazilian church service In Matthew 9:37–38 Jesus said to His disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. The longer I am in Brazil the more real this verse becomes to me. I am seeing God work in this country through the lives of missionaries, national pastors and Christian laymen, yet everywhere I look I see a ministry that could be started. Every missionary I talk to tells me of his need for co-laborers. If I had 100 simultaneous lives to give to the city of São Paulo alone, the harvest would still be, oh, so plenteous! There is much work to be done! Thankfully, the Lord has promised the gates of Hell will not prevail against His Church. God is truly working toward something great. I can see it! I am grateful to Him Who has entrusted my family and me with a portion of the ministry in Brazil, but we are in desperate need of help. Brazil is a ripe harvest field and ready for a great harvest. It has great potential but we need more laborers, more soul winners, more churches, more Bible institutes and more Bible colleges. Brazil is a sleeping spiritual giant waiting to be awakened. Please pray with me that the Lord would send more laborers to Brazil and that He would bring about a spiritual awakening to the sleeping giant.
