Before returning to the States, we stopped off in Puerto Rico. Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida dedicated their new facility. Although the founding missionary Wayne Keelin could not attend, Mrs. Wayne Keelin (Hilda) and her son, Luis, and his wife, Beverly, were there. Roldofo and Dolli Garcia (national pastor) organized the memorable event. Missionary Joan Whiteheart continues to be a vibrant part of this ministry with children and ladies. She is active in visitation and leading the children’s ministry. I was privileged to preach the first message in the campaign. Jerry Reece translated most of the services. The dedication was the culmination of 16 years of labor. It was a blessing to see the members of New Life Baptist Church working together to bring their families and friends to this campaign. Now they will be able to focus more time on reaching Puerto Rico with the Gospel. To redeem the time, one million two hundred fifty thousand Spanish tracts are on the way to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The “Penny Missionaries” will help us present the Gospel to Spanish speaking folks in the Caribbean. Soon they will be in the hands of our missionaries, and we are praying that the Holy Spirit will use these to introduce many to the saving power of Christ.
