On a flight to Trinidad, I sat next to a young Vietnamese man in his thirties. He was very friendly and told me that this was his first time to fly. When he told me he was retired, I didn't understand. But later he told me he had stage three liver cancer. Then I knew God had put him next to me. I shared the plan of salvation and he prayed asking God to save him. His need of Christ increased my burden for all the immigrants in the United States and others who have never heard the truth of Christ coming to die for sinners and to be their personal Savior from sin. Also, how we need to teach them all things that he has commanded us (Matthew 28:18–20). Joy Sprunger and Linda Baker fellowshipping Our trip allowed us to see our missionaries on the island of Antigua and in Puerto Rico. We were able to spend a little time with each of them, and our hearts were touched by the results of folks getting saved and growing in the Lord. It was a blessing to see the national leadership stepping up and responding to the need of teaching God's Word and pastoring churches. Our days were filled with wonderful fellowship and getting to know how to better pray for each of our missionaries. Chicken & Dressing Casserole From Linda Baker — Antigua Ingredients: Box of stuffing mix Stewed chicken or canned chicken (4–5 large thighs or chicken breasts) Sour cream 1 Can of cream of chicken soup 1 Stick of melted butter ---------------------------------------------- Prepare stuffing according to box instructions. Layer in the pan the stuffing and one cup of chicken. Mix soup and sour cream and melted butter, pour over chicken and stuffing. Top with extra dressing or bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve hot. 4 Islander – No 1, 2013
