San Francisco, Dominican Republic — Erik Johnson and Tim Fluegge with the help of the teens from Valley Forge Baptist Church organized a youth campaign called “Be Free in Christ.” As a result, a number of youth came to know Christ as their personal Savior. Tim Fluegge was able to be there for the final two nights and preach to the young people. Port-de-paix, Haiti — Benji Dryden reports that his family had a wonderful two months in the States. His children were able to attend church camp. The family was also able to enjoy some time with many cousins. They are thrilled to be back home in Haiti starting the new year with 129 students in Grace Baptist Bible Institute. They graduated 30 in June from the five-year program. Trinidad — David and Terri Long are praising the Lord for the four teenagers who went to teen camp in August. One teen named Renaldo said the week was the best week of his life. Renaldo had an opportunity to encourage two young men in his dorm to get saved. The Longs are excited that eight made professions of faith in the months of June and July in the church services and during soul winning visitation. Santo Domingo, DR — Missionary Alexis Givans shares that during the International Book Fair eight churches helped in distributing 555,000 tracts. Yes, that is right! Over one-half million tracts were put into the hands of Dominicans. Pray 14 Islander – October 2015 the seeds of the Gospel will bring forth much fruit. Barbados — Robert Smith shares this report. “Last January my father, while preaching our annual missions conference, mentioned the importance of memorizing Scripture to our people. I told our folks that if they would memorize Bible verses at home and then quote them in our Sunday evening services for 24 weeks, I would give them a lovely leather Thompson Chain Reference Bible! I thought one or two might accomplish it. As of the end of July, I owe 8 people a new Bible!!! Wow! Most of them were quoting 4 or more verses each week and some quoted more! They have not stopped! Others have begun and they too will earn a new Bible. USA — Jerry and Gail Reece praise the Lord for His faithful supply of their needs. Books and tracts that Jerry has written and translated help national pastors, churches, and Bible schools as they evangelize and teach. The written word is a powerful tool for spreading the Gospel.
