A LEGACY TO REMEMBER By Gary Sprunger In Cayman Brac there is a missionary couple who is recognized by nearly everyone as the “Patriarchs” of the island. Russell and Bobbie Turner continue to leave a legacy that few missionaries have enjoyed. Although they are in their 80s, they continue to serve the Lord on a small island of around 1,800 inhabitants. One of the things Mrs. Turner cherishes is a manila file with over 3,000 names of people who have accepted Christ as their Savior during the Turners’ ministry on the island. If you visit Russell and Bobbie Turner, they will share their testimony of how the Lord told them to give away their farm in Mauldlin, South Carolina.
