Kevin & Stacy Byers
Church Planters to
Oregon August
2017 —
“Please pray
for traveling safety and support for our travels
as we finish up our meetings around the
United States. There are yet several churches
that we need to visit and then we plan to
transition to visiting new churches who will
partner with us.”
Dana & Julie Dice
Church Planters in
Queens, New York
August 2017 — “The last
week of June we had our annual Gospel
Preaching in the Park…. There were about
25 decisions for salvation this year…. We
organized a special outreach for teens and
juniors the second week of July. We had the
meeting for two days and we saw 50 first
time visitors come and 28 made professions.”

Winter 2017 — “Pray for
those who were recently saved
on the Reservation to be grounded in the
Word and baptized.”
Bill & Fannie Fluker
Church Planters in Jackson,
Mississippi August 2017 — “I have been
praying and looking since
January for someone to come and take over
this inner-city ministry. I have discussed
this with my sending church and they are
praying and searching as well. One man and
his family from North Carolina have shown
interest in the ministry and has been here
twice and preached, but he will need to be
a bi-vocational pastor or appeal to churches
for support as this church is not able to pay
a full-time salary at this time.”

in Columbus, Ohio
October/November 2017 —
“My wife and I have started a Bible study
with a group at the Columbus Colony
Housing for the Deaf. In addition to this,
I have volunteered my services at the local
Deaf Service Center. Please pray that the
Lord opens more doors of opportunity
in this regard as we endeavor to start the
LIFESIGNS Deaf Baptist Church in the
Columbus, Ohio, area.”
Alan & Sabrina Davis
Church Planters in the Bronx
New York, November 2017 —
“Centilia Warner was visiting
the United States recently from Saint Kitts
in the Caribbean…. During this time, she
visited our inner-city mission work one
Sunday morning. While she was here, she
heard the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ.

She also prayed the sinner’s prayer. It also
happened to be her birthday. Now she has
two birthdays on the same day—not only
her physical but also her spiritual.”

Treasa Fox
Native American Ministry,
Arizona August 2017 — “It has been
a hot summer but a blessed
one. It started out with a good
VBS at Baptist Indian Chapel on the Gila
Reservation with 37 children in attendance
and a wonderful group of teenagers from
Indianapolis, Indiana, who took charge and
were such a blessing! Two children made
professions of faith in Christ. Most of these
children were bused in. Please pray that we
would be able to get them to church on a
regular basis. The church does not have a
van to be used for this.”
Perry & Barbara Gibson

the opportunity to connect hundreds
of international students with scores of
Christian families for their homestay. Thank
you for helping make this possible! This week
there will be 140 Japanese students arriving
for spring quarter classes. Please pray for
opportunities to build relationships and for
wisdom in developing Bible curriculum for
English as a second language class.”
Richard & Leah Jacob
Church Planters
Virginia/Washington, DC
September 2017 — “After
buying candy from a young
boy named Reggie in a Walmart parking lot,
I went on to share the Gospel with him….

He prayed and accepted the Lord Jesus
Christ as his personal Savior. After seeing
his little brother, Lawson, who was also
selling candy in the parking lot, we went
on to share the Gospel with him…. I got to
lead him in prayer and he accepted the Lord
Jesus Christ, too. We had a Gospel tract of
the Victory Baptist Church. We gave it to
them and asked them to visit that church.”
Bruce & Vicki Kelly

the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf in

Our church had our Thanksgiving potluck

new visitors!”
Andrew & Carrie Kennard

July/August 2017 — “At the
time of this writing, we have
attended 25 churches. We covet your prayers
as we make calls and visits that God would

with these churches.”
John & Elijah Lafreniere

Chinese Ministry in San
Francisco, California,
October 2017 — “By
God’s grace, I have set the
date of February 11, 2018,
to start a Chinese independent Baptist church.

I pray that I will have all the logistics worked
out by then as far as the location and name of
the church as well as a group of people willing
to begin this church. I ask for prayer because
this is not going to be an easy endeavor!”
James & Andrea Mansfield
Church Re-start in
Commerce, Texas
June 2017 — “The new
building looks great and is
being put to use. We now
have our Sunday morning
services followed by a lunch
in our new kids’ building
followed by our ‘evening…now…afternoon’
service. This has worked perfectly for our
young church’s needs right now. The meal
and fellowship have served to knit our hearts
together as a church family.”
