BIMI Missionary Yvette Huestis
went Home to be with her Savior on
Saturday, December 7,
2019. Yvette served the
Lord faithfully for 34 years
in Brazil with her husband,
Steve. The
Huestises met while in college at
Tennessee Temple, and
they recently celebrated
35 years of marriage.

They have been instrumental as church
planters in Mato Grosso, Brazil. In
February 2018, Yvette was diagnosed
with an aggressive brain cancer called
Glioblastoma. After being faced with the
decision to either stay in Brazil or leave
the field to seek treatment elsewhere,
they chose to remain on the field. While
Yvette endured brain surgery to remove
a tumor and radiation therapy, God
sustained them as they remained faithful
to His calling in Brazil. God’s goodness
has been evident throughout Yvette’s
life, ministry, and the lives of their four
children serving in ministry.
