Staying…
Is it really worth it?
By Adam Fridenstine
Imagine it…
Hot, humid, new culture, struggling Spanish, pouring rain, third
grade, and a little boy with a huge personality who will not stop
talking in class. He talks to himself, he talks to the teacher, he talks
to his classmates, he talks when he should, and he is always talking
when he should not. He wants to know the why to every question
or statement, is determined that everything needs to be perfect, and
literally beats his head on the wall when he fails. His parents are
struggling in life with faithfulness, temptations, sin, priorities, and
just survival. They love him dearly but he is on his own in many
ways. He is listening to the wrong kind of music and trying to fit in
with the styles of the day.
