Antigua - Caribbean

On the island of Antigua, BIMI missionaries have been instrumental in starting a number of good churches. Missionary Jerry Johnson was the first BIMI missionary to arrive on this island. He established Galilean Baptist Church and the Grace Baptist Church and Academy, both of which are now pastored by nationals. Since his arrival in the late 1960s, other BIMI missionaries have come to build the Caribbean Radio Lighthouse (CRL). CRL's AM station has a potential listening audience of 2 million English-speaking people throughout the Eastern Caribbean. In 2000 they began broadcasting in Spanish on FM for a growing Hispanic population in the islands. Pray for the need of a Hispanic church-planter and the funds to support the increased opportunities available to spread the Gospel through radio.
