Dr. John & Sandy Bailes
USA Director

Brother Bailes was saved in Memphis, Tennessee, while serving 12 years in the United States Navy. He then attended Tennessee Temple Bible School and graduated in l970. Brother Bailes has been in the ministry for 33 years of which 25 years of that time has been involved with church planting. He served on staff at Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and started 28 branch churches in an 80-mile radius of that city.

He and his wife Sandy also have been responsible for personally starting five other churches, which he pastored. They have five children and twelve grandchildren. Their son Scott and his family are serving with Baptist International Missions, Inc., in Mexico City as missionaries.

Dr. Bailes has been with Baptist International Missions, Inc., since l977 and was named USA Director in 1987. He serves the USA missionaries by assisting them in obtaining support and planting churches. He also serves local churches by conducting missions conferences.
