David & Jenny Harris

David and Jenny Harris served in Japan for 24 years as church-planting missionaries starting churches in the Osaka area and northern Honshu. Since April of 2012, Brother Harris has served as the Far East Director. The Harrises help to encourage BIMI missionary families serving in Asia and the North Pacific from China to Japan and from the Philippines to Hawaii. Their ministry involves recruiting and training new missionaries, assisting churches with their missionaries, and helping missionaries get to and remain on the field. They desire to impact God’s people for worldwide evangelization and to assist church planting in Asia, the North Pacific, and the World.

David
• Born at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, son of a career Marine
• Grew up in Hawaii, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia
• Saved at age 11, Calvary BC, New Bern, North Carolina
• Learned soulwinning under Ron Reilly, age 15
• Began serving as a bus captain, age 16
• Met Jenny during high school at Lake City B Tab, Lake City, Georgia, James Rushing, Sr.
• Surrendered to go to Japan, October 1984
• Graduated from Bible college, May 1985
• Married, June 1985
• Joined BIMI, December 1985
• Began deputation, June 1986
• Arrived in Osaka, Japan, August 1988
• Served in Japan as church planting missionaries, 24 years
• Serving as Director of BIMI Far East Ministries since April 2012

Jenny
• Born in Atlanta, Georgia
• Saved at age seven
• Father became a pastor when Jenny was 13
• Graduated from Bible college, 1986
• Graduated from WCBC, Master's in Education, 2012
