Mentored Ministry as a Next Step

Some steps toward missions happen best with guidance—close enough to ask questions, serve, and be shaped before you carry the weight of full-time ministry on your own.
BIMI SMART was built for that kind of preparation.
SMART stands for
Strategic Mentorship And Reality Training. This internship connection ministry exists to connect potential missionaries with local churches for hands-on learning under experienced mentorship—aimed at long-term, effective service.
What you’ll experience:
•
Real ministry exposure — observe and participate in a cross-section of missionary work, from outreach and discipleship to practical logistics.
•
Personal mentorship — receive regular instruction and feedback that strengthens discernment, character, and ministry judgment.
•
Church-centered training — serve alongside local church leadership in a supervised setting that prioritizes faithfulness and teamwork.
How it works: You’re placed with a vetted missionary mentor who provides room and board, sets expectations, and meets with you regularly while you serve in supervised ministry.
Next step: If you’re 20+, have two years of Bible training, and your pastor recommends you, start the application and placement process at
