The message of BIMI is the message of the Bible. It is about hope, forgiveness, restoration, and reconciliation with a Holy God. This salvation is about God restoring a personal relationship with His creation. It is a relationship He desires to have with us, enough so that He was willing to give His only Son as a sacrificial payment for our sin debt.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Bad News is that all people are sinners and do sin. We are all guilty of breaking the Holy Law of God, and it is by that Law that our deeds will be judged—we will be held accountable for our actions and for the lives that we have lived.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
As a result of our sin, we deserve our sentence of spiritual death, which is separation from God forever in a real place called Hell after our physical death.
Romans 6:23a
For the wages of sin is death;
The Good News is that God loves us and does not want anyone to die and go to Hell. He takes no pleasure in the person who dies without having his or her sins forgiven. Therefore, He provided the solution to our sin problem. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, whose perfect life allowed Him to be the perfect substitute, taking on the death penalty that we deserved—paying the sin debt that man owed to God through His own physical and undeserved death on a cross.
Romans 6:23b
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
This salvation is a free gift available to all who believe.
BELIEVE WHAT? Believe that Jesus, the Christ, is the Son of the living God who took your place on the cross of Calvary, paid the price for your sin, and rose to life again that you may be saved—delivered from the penalty of your sin and assured of life eternal in Heaven.
Romans 10:9–10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
